Deuxmensions Dance Faculty



Michelle Doyle
Artistic Director

Michelle earned her BFA in dance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York City. Michelle has been teaching for 18 years at various dance schools throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as UWSP and Zenon Dance School. Michelle has performed in numerous productions at UWSP, the American College Dance Festival, Indianapolis Ballet, and Central Wisconsin Community Theatre’s production of the Nutcracker. In the Twin Cities, she has performed as a member of the Third Rabbit Dance Ensemble, Zenon Dance School’s scholarship program, and various local choreographers. Michelle choreographed for several productions at UWSP and had her work chosen to represent UWSP at the American College Dance Festival. Locally, she has choreographed for Deuxmensions Dance Theatre & Junior Dance Theatre, and shown works at the Minnesota Dance Festival, MDA’s Choreomania, and several of Zenon Dance School’s Block E concerts. She currently serves as a member of the Advisory Group for DanceUSA’s Minnesota Dance Mapping Project.

Kirstin Doyle
Artistic Director

Kirstin also earned a BFA in dance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, in addition to studying at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Milwaukee Ballet and Gus Giordano. She has 15 years teaching experience including the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Zenon Dance School, and The Conservatory for Creative Expression in Stevens Point, WI. Kirstin has performed in a number of faculty & student productions at UWSP, including reconstructed works by Doris Humphrey, Ruth St. Dennis, Charles Weidman, Yvonne Rainer & Debra Lowen. She has also performed at the American College Dance Festival, and with Ed Burgess & Lonne Moretton. She has also performed as a Zenon scholarship student and with several Twin Cities choreographers. She has recently had the privilege of performing with DRP Dance. Kirstin’s choreographic work includes Deuxmensions Dance Theatre & Junior Dance Theatre, many student productions at UWSP, and commissioned works for performance by the Amadeus Dance Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Jill Murphy
Instructor

Jill earned her BFA in dance from the University of Minnesota in the spring of 2004. While in college she had the opportunity to perform works by local artist Paula Mann, Judith Howard, Stuart Pimsler, as well as guest artist Ming-Shen Ku from Korea. She also participated in various student pieces, was part of the production committee for the student Dance concert for two years and vice president of the Student Dance Coalition. Jill currently dances with DRP Dance.

Danielle L.
Robinson-Prater
Instructor & Office Assistant

Receiving a BFA from Ohio State University in 1997. Since arriving in Minneapolis she has had the pleasure of performing and studying with multiple local choreographers including; Zenon Dance Company, Megan Flood, John Munger and Deuxmensions Dance Theatre. This is her fifth year working as a dance educator at Deuxmensions Dance Theatre and School. In March 2005 she presented her first evening length performance, and introduced the creation of DRP Dance. Danielle is eager to share DRP Dance with the Minneapolis dance community and joining fellow emerging choreographers.
